Life captured!

Last week I did visit Darjeeling with my family. The Queen of the Hills is a place where beauty is worshipped in its nature and in its people. So it is obvious that we wanted to capture our every moment in it and yes! We did it with our Sony Handy Cam. We did hardly miss a moment and we even recorded a song by a Nepalese child and this very song was sung by the Indian idol, 20007, Prashant Tamang from Darjeeling itself. Saint Pauls’ School, Zoological Garden, Tibetan Market, Pashupati Market in the Nepal Border, Batasia Loop, the historical Blue Toy Train, green tea gardens and picturesque wooden cottages were all captured by my father’s Sony Handy Cam.

We then shifted to Gangtok via Kalimpong and along the river Teesta. We even visited the famous snow covered Chhangu Lake in Sikkim and went up to Watershed Memorial in Baba Harbhajan Singh’s Mandir. It was white everywhere and we were above 12, 400 feet above mean sea level. Snow was falling and it seemed as if we were in Siachen Military Camp. The white snow on the bare trees looked like a tree in the fairy tale. China border were close by and we even visited the Indo China trade region where a lot of leather goods could be purchased at cheap prices. Oh Dear! We had so much to capture in our video, but due to the freezing temperature our video camera started signaling that the camcorder battery can take no more. But still we managed to shoot till the last moment. This happened because we went there by replacing our old battery with a Amstron - Sony NP-F550 Battery from AtBatt.com.

But one mistake was done by us. We did not bother about my mother’s cellular phone battery and it became inactive. AtBatt.com also sells replacement batteries for mobile phones too. I hope you will not do the same mistake.

Remember that the life of your recording depends on the life of your video camera battery - prolong it!
