In this post I will be sharing my personal experiences and suggestions on credit cards. While I was on a day job, I used to get calls frequently about credit cards , loans.. While I wasn't having any credit cards during those days, I planned to go for one and said , Yes , I am interested , to the concerned representative.
The representative told me to furnish certain documents like the salary slip , and business visiting card, The representative even told me , that, Its a life time free card. I got the card within few days of application.
I kept on collecting and accumulating the cards and reached count of almost 5, I received statements about the annual fee and other accessories fees.. I paid atleast $200 for the yearly payment while I was told its a free card, I further canceled all my cards and finally have cash back credit cards which are free for life time free card and I am happy with the same as there are no hidden charges and the interest rates are low compared to other cards and balance transfers charges are too low. The main advantage is whenever I make a purchase using these card, I get discounts as well as cash back on this card.
My personal advice to readers is don't accumulate too many credit cards, and always keep an account of the spendings made on the cards or else you will keep in paying for the card for the long haul. credit cards have become ubiquitous , I do understand but accounting should be kept into consideration
