stlucia-guide.info - Your comprehensive guide to St. Lucia

The Caribbean days and nights

We have known the geographical fact- The higher we go the cooler it becomes. I exactly happened as we walked up from the warm sunny beaches of Castries to the Green Piton Mountains. I am talking about the small island called St. Lucia which is situated in the north- east of Venezuela in the Caribbean Sea.

Saint Lucia has been ecologically planned to check overcrowding of resorts. This has preserved the natural beauty to an extreme height. We have enjoyed all the aspects of this island. My partners were a bit adventurous and they decided to stay for a whole night inside a tepee which was situated in the middle of a jungle. This was situated in the St. Lucia’s rural area called the Anse la Libert. That was indeed our cheapest accommodation in our entire tour and we got a pile of dirt in the floor as our mattress to enjoy a goodnight’s sleep.

And yes! These adventure loving folks of my troop chose to stay in those hotels which are situated close to the twin Pitons. These two brothers are volcanoes. My friends thought that they would be having a live demo of eruption so that they can be featured as heroes in The National Geographic. But that did not happen and I enjoyed the greeneries.

If you have seen enough of the natural beauties you can indulge in some serious golfing and the island’s first casino is to be inaugurated soon. And I cannot think of a single tour without mouth watering dishes. We really have had sumptuous meals consisting of salt fish which is an important dish of the island. I am yet to know more of St. Lucia’s culture, religion and traditions.

You can also avail very vital information- historic, geographical, economic, social and cultural from the St. Lucia Guide site before you visit it personally.
